The Athletic training program prepares you for entry-level employment assisting an Athletic Trainer or as a Physical Therapy Aide in a college/high school, private practice, or clinical settings.

Emergency Medical Services

Victor Valley College offers one preparatory course and two programs that enable you to enter careers in Emergency Medical Services. The preparatory course is Emergency Medical Responder (EMR). The first of the two programs is Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), after which you may continue to the Paramedic Program. Classes in this area meet California State EMS Authority and ICEMA (Inland County Emergency Medical Agency) regulations.

Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant program is a one-year program that is designed to prepare you to work effectively in a physician’s office, medical records or business office of a clinic or a hospital. Upon completion of the required courses, you will demonstrate proficiency in both front and back office procedures.

The program provides didactic instruction and supervised clinical practice in Southern California hospitals. Restaurant Management

The Restaurant Management program prepares you for careers in the foodservice industry. Restaurants, hotels, clubs, colleges, retirement homes, hospitals, and industrial food service are but a few of the areas of employment options. Basic food preparation and techniques, nutrition, sanitation and safety are emphasized as the fundamentals for an education foundation of more specialized and advanced skills.

  2. Before applying to college, you must first have an OpenCCC account.

    This account allows you to access the online services of the California Community Colleges.
    All information in your account is private and secure.

  3. Complete your online orientation

    Participation in the online orientation is mandatory and offers an overview of academic programs and support services aimed at facilitating your success. After you receive your Welcome email with your VVC student ID# log into MyVVC.

  4. Online Career Coach

    While optional, engaging with the online career coach can be beneficial in exploring majors, in-demand careers, and educational paths aligned with your interests. Start here.

  5. Placement Survey

    It’s essential to complete the placement survey to determine your starting point in Math and English, enabling you to progress efficiently towards your goals. It takes approx. 20–30 minutes to complete and can be accessed by logging into MyVVC, then click on the Self-Service icon.

  6. Develop your Education Plan

    Consult with a counselor to plan and outline the necessary courses for your certificate, degree, or transfer program completion. Visit General Counseling for details and/or to schedule an appointment.

  7. Register for classes
