From your career program to career ambassador.

Are you READY to be a part influencer, part career ambassador for your career education program and Inland Empire/Desert colleges?

Do you constantly tell others about your amazing career program and community college? Are you READY to share about it?

Then you might be interested in our Faces of READY Career Education campaign – part ambassador and part influencer for career education at your college!

Inland Empire Desert Regional Consortium’s (IEDRC) marketing team is looking for enthusiastic students to feature in our advertising, special promotions, social media, publications, news stories and more.

Meet the requirements?

We need well-rounded students of all ages, colors, shapes, sizes and backgrounds to best represent Inland Empire/Desert college’s diverse student body in career education programs. You don’t have to be a model- you just have to be a model student by meeting the following requirements.

Have a 2.5 GPA or higher.
Be a current student enrolled in a career education certificate program at one of the Inland Empire/Desert 12 community colleges.
Have already completed one full semester at an Inland Empire/Desert Community College.
Plan to attend one of the 12 Inland Empire/Desert community colleges in the fall.
Be in good financial standing with the Inland Empire/Desert College they attend.
Have no criminal record.
Have multiple active social media accounts.
Allow IEDRC and the individual college to use your photo/image/likeness for the purposes of promoting the college and career education.
Have availability to attend once per month meetings with the regional marketing team lead & Interact for trainings.

The application is open to become an influencer for Inland Empire Desert community colleges from May-July 2023. Application closes July 30, 2023.

Ready for your casting call?

Once your application is reviewed, you may be invited to attend a casting call July 21-27, 2023.

If you are selected, you will receive an email or call from Marketing and Communications with further instructions, so check your college email!

At this stage, we will ask for a letter of reference from your college faculty or staff member, or your employer, regarding your character, dependability, and why you would be a good representative of your career education program at your Inland Empire/Desert college.

Did you get the part?

After the casting call, a final group of 12 students will be selected as part of the Faces of READY Career Education campaign. These students will receive special college swag, a stipend of $500 for hours worked, along with a letter of recommendation for their work experience.

If students meet all of the above requirements but do not receive an email from the regional marketing team, the regional marketing team or individual college marketing team may be contacting students at a later date to participate in a photoshoot or event. At this time, the region and colleges have specific activities planned that require a limited number of people, but often other opportunities come up where student participation is needed. The regional marketing team will keep your record on file for at least one year after the initial application period.
